2024 World Military Wrestling Championships in Yerevan, Son won the gold medal in the women's freestyle 57 kg category. In 2025, she earned a silver medal at the
Asian Wrestling Championships in Amman, Jordan, in the 57 kg division. Later that year, Son competed at the
2025 World Wrestling Championships in Zagreb, Croatia. After receiving a walkover win in the qualification round, she defeated Ecuador's Luisa Valverde by fall in the round of 16 and overcame Olympic medalist Iryna Kurachkina 12–0 by technical superiority in the quarterfinals. In the semifinals, she beat China's Hong Kexin 12–2 to reach the final. In the gold-medal match, Son lost to the United States’
