The Sundargadi variety is influenced by
Sambalpuri to the south along with influences from the
Sadri and
Chhattisgarhi languages due to the geographical location of the Northwestern region of
Odisha bordering the adjoining linguistic regions of Jharkhand and Chhattisgarh.
