Taiyuan University of Technology can have its history traced all the way back to Western Learning School of National Shanxi Grand Academy, which was established in 1902 as one of the earliest universities in china. Taiyuan University of Technology consists of 23 colleges offering 84 undergraduate disciplines, 34 master's degree programs, 15 doctorate programs and 13 post-doctor research centers.
