The Colourfield

The Colourfield were an English band formed in 1984 in Manchester, England when former Specials and Fun Boy Three frontman Terry Hall joined up with Karl Shale and ex-Swinging Cats member Toby Lyons. Despite all three members being from Coventry, the band was based in Manchester.

History
1984 – The Beginning In January 1984, the Colour Field released their first single "The Colour Field", which just missed making the top 40 in the UK Singles Chart. Lyons is now a university lecturer/tutor of graphic design at Sheffield Hallam University in South Yorkshire. Karl Shale joined the Candyskins. After they broke up, he worked in a record shop. ==Members==
