The Death of General Causse at the Battle of Dego is an 1812 history painting by the French artist François Mulard. It depicts a stylised view of the death of the French general Jean-Jacques Causse at the Second Battle of Dego in April 1796. Fought during the Italian Campaign during the French Revolutionary War, it was a significant early victory for Napoleon. The future Emperor is shown on horseback as the central figure of the composition, while the dying Causse is to one side.
