Theodore first appeared on the 1890 U.S. Census as a village. It did not appear again on the census until 1980 when it was designated a CDP (census-designated place).
Racial and ethnic composition 2020 census As of the
2020 census, Theodore had a population of 6,270. The median age was 37.9 years. 24.2% of residents were under the age of 18 and 15.1% of residents were 65 years of age or older. For every 100 females there were 94.8 males, and for every 100 females age 18 and over there were 94.2 males age 18 and over. There were 1,465 families residing in the CDP. There were 2,427 households in Theodore, of which 34.0% had children under the age of 18 living in them. Of all households, 41.6% were married-couple households, 19.5% were households with a male householder and no spouse or partner present, and 30.7% were households with a female householder and no spouse or partner present.
