2020 census As of the
2020 census, Thrall had a population of 816. The median age was 37.7 years. 27.0% of residents were under the age of 18 and 14.2% of residents were 65 years of age or older. For every 100 females there were 95.7 males, and for every 100 females age 18 and over there were 98.7 males age 18 and over. 0.0% of residents lived in urban areas, while 100.0% lived in rural areas. There were 301 households in Thrall, of which 42.9% had children under the age of 18 living in them. Of all households, 46.8% were married-couple households, 21.6% were households with a male householder and no spouse or partner present, and 25.9% were households with a female householder and no spouse or partner present. Of the 255 households, 37.6% had children under 18 living with them, 56.1% were married couples living together, 11.4% had a female householder with no husband present, and 25.5% were not families. About 23.5% of all households were made up of individuals, and 15.7% had someone living alone who was 65 or older. The average household size was 2.78, and the average family size was 3.28. In the city, the age distribution was 30.1% under 18, 6.6% from 18 to 24, 27.6% from 25 to 44, 19.4% from 45 to 64, and 16.2% who were 65 or older. The median age was 34 years.
