2020 census, Toronto had a population of 5,303. The median age was 43.7 years. 20.4% of residents were under the age of 18 and 21.6% of residents were 65 years of age or older. For every 100 females there were 90.5 males, and for every 100 females age 18 and over there were 84.9 males age 18 and over. There were 2,354 households in Toronto, of which 25.2% had children under the age of 18 living in them. Of all households, 39.3% were married-couple households, 18.4% were households with a male householder and no spouse or partner present, and 33.6% were households with a female householder and no spouse or partner present. The average household size was 2.23 and the average family size was 2.84. The median age in the city was 44 years. 20.7% of residents were under the age of 18; 7.5% were between the ages of 18 and 24; 23.1% were from 25 to 44; 30.5% were from 45 to 64; and 18.1% were 65 years of age or older. The gender makeup of the city was 46.9% male and 53.1% female.

The average household size was 2.31 and the average family size was 2.90. In the city the age distribution of the population shows 22.8% under the age of 18, 8.0% from 18 to 24, 26.4% from 25 to 44, 24.9% from 45 to 64, and 17.9% who were 65 years of age or older.
