Krukovets is a pupil of Lutsk football, and started playing football at the local CYSS, for a short time he played in the regional championship for the Lutsk club "Crystal". After graduating from school, the young football player received an invitation from Ivano-Frankivsk "Prykarpattia", but did not play for the main team, made his debut in professional football by playing for the farm club of Prykarpattia from the second league "Tysmenytsia". After short performances in the second league, Krukovets returned to Lutsk and played in the amateur team "Rose-Express" from Gorka Polonka. Successful performances for the Tysmenytsia and Hirkopolonkivka teams drew the attention of Valentyn to the leadership of the main team of Volyn, Volyn Lutsk, which at that time played in the Ukrainian First League.
