Vladyslav Yesypenko is a Ukrainian journalist who was arrested on March 10, 2021 by the Federal Security Service of the Russian Federation (FSB). At the time, he was working as a freelance journalist for Krym.Realii, reporting on conditions in Crimea. On February 16, 2022 Yesypenko was sentenced to six years in prison. International human rights organizations raised concerns about his arrest, treatment, the charges made against him, and his sentencing as involving "clear violation of international human rights standards and press freedom". As of 24 June 2025, Yesypenko was released, having spent over four years in detention.
