2020 census As of the
2020 census, there were 8,257 people, 2,844 households, and 2,352 families residing in the city. The median age was 34.3 years, 30.3% of residents were under the age of 18, and 13.5% of residents were 65 years of age or older. For every 100 females there were 88.5 males, and for every 100 females age 18 and over there were 82.4 males. 95.3% of residents lived in urban areas, while 4.7% lived in rural areas. There were 2,844 households in Whitehouse, of which 46.9% had children under the age of 18 living in them. Of all households, 57.0% were married-couple households, 10.8% were households with a male householder and no spouse or partner present, and 27.4% were households with a female householder and no spouse or partner present. About 17.5% of all households were made up of individuals and 9.1% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. There were 2,979 housing units, of which 4.5% were vacant. The homeowner vacancy rate was 1.2% and the rental vacancy rate was 6.6%.

married couples living together, 13.5% had a female householder with no husband present, and 17.5% were non-families. 14.7% of all households were made up of individuals, and 5.3% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.88 and the average family size was 3.20. In the city, the population was spread out, with 32.4% under the age of 18, 7.1% from 18 to 24, 33.1% from 25 to 44, 18.8% from 45 to 64, and 8.5% who were 65 years of age or older. The median age was 32 years. For every 100 females, there were 91.9 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 84.6 males. The median income for a household in the city was $46,804, and the median income for a family was $49,393. Males had a median income of $36,891 versus $22,334 for females. The
