Zieria caducibracteata is a tall shrub or small tree which grows to a height of and has its younger branches covered with short hairs. The leaves are composed of three leaflets with the leaflets narrow elliptic to lance-shaped, long and wide with a stalk long. The two surfaces of the leaflets are different shades of green, the lower surface covered with velvety hairs. The flowers are arranged in clusters which are shorter than the leaves, each flower on a stalk long. There are one or two
bracts long at the base of the cluster, but the bracts fall off early in the flowering period. The
sepal lobes are triangular, long and hairy. The four
petals are long and covered with short, soft hairs and there are four
stamens. Flowering occurs from late August to September. ==Taxonomy and naming==
