The 2023 Malaysia Super League was the 20th season of the Malaysia Super League, the top-tier professional football league in Malaysia since its establishment in 2004, and the 42nd season of top-flight Malaysian football overall.

Foreign players
Southeast Asian (SEA) players who have acquired at least 3 international caps for their senior national team can play in the Super League without any restrictions. However, SEA players with less than 3 international caps must be approved by the Malaysian Football League (MFL). Each team in the Super League can register 9 foreign players, but only 5 import players can be fielded at any one time. The 5 import players must consist of 3 foreign players, 1 Asian player, and 1 ASEAN player. Only 1 import player can be on the bench. Note: Flags indicate national team as defined under FIFA eligibility rules.
