The battle of Krasnyi Lyman was a series of battles in 2014 for control of the city of Krasnyi Lyman of Donetsk Oblast during the War in Donbas.

Background
On April 12, 2014, on the 5th day after the proclamation of the Donetsk People's Republic, the Russian-backed separatists seized the city police department of Krasnyi Lyman (simultaneously with the seizure of the SBU and police buildings in Sloviansk). One person died as a result of the operation. On June 5, the work of the city council and the city police department was resumed. The sweep of the city lasted on June 4 and 5, the detection of militants was carried out with searches of houses and citizens.
