2020 census, the county had a population of 50,793. Of the residents, 18.1% were under the age of 18 and 21.1% were 65 years of age or older; the median age was 44.6 years. For every 100 females there were 92.7 males, and for every 100 females age 18 and over there were 90.2 males. 98.9% of residents lived in urban areas and 1.1% lived in rural areas.
