Racial and ethnic composition 2020 census As of the
2020 census, Milford had a population of 1,431 and a median age of 33.1 years. 31.1% of residents were under the age of 18, 13.1% of residents were 65 years of age or older, for every 100 females there were 110.1 males, and for every 100 females age 18 and over there were 108.5 males. 0.0% of residents lived in urban areas, while 100.0% lived in rural areas. There were 475 households in Milford, of which 44.4% had children under the age of 18 living in them. Of all households, 58.7% were married-couple households, 18.9% were households with a male householder and no spouse or partner present, and 17.7% were households with a female householder and no spouse or partner present. About 20.6% of all households were made up of individuals and 10.5% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. There were 592 housing units, of which 19.8% were vacant. The homeowner vacancy rate was 4.3% and the rental vacancy rate was 23.8%.

married couples living together, 9.3% had a female householder with no husband present, and 26.2% were non-families. 24.0% of all households were made up of individuals, and 14.7% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.95 and the average family size was 3.58. In the city, the population was spread out, with 37.2% under the age of 18, 9.7% from 18 to 24, 23.6% from 25 to 44, 17.2% from 45 to 64, and 12.3% who were 65 years of age or older. The median age was 28 years. For every 100 females, there were 97.4 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 95.1 males. The median income for a household in the city was $35,809, and the median income for a family was $41,750. Males had a median income of $35,568 versus $19,000 for females. The
