Aarsvold served in the
North Dakota House of Representatives from 1989 to 2008, representing the 20th legislative district of
North Dakota as a
Democrat. He was an unsuccessful candidate for re-election in 2008. Outside of the
North Dakota Legislature, Aarsvold served as director of the
Traill County Farmers Union, treasurer of the Blanchard Lutheran Church, and director of Red River Human Services. Outside of politics, Aarsvold worked as a farmer and educator. ==Political positions==
