Armand was born in
Brooklyn, New York. She studied acting at the
Howard University and
Georgetown University, before graduating from the acting program at
New York University Tisch School of the Arts. She began her career in early 2000s, appearing in regional stage productions. On screen, Armand appeared in films
Queenie in Love (2001),
Kings County (2003) and
Kinsey (2004). On television, Armand made guest appearances in
Strangers with Candy,
Law & Order: Criminal Intent and
Law & Order: Trial by Jury. She also done voice-over work in the
Grand Theft Auto: Liberty City Stories and
Grand Theft Auto IV.
