2020 census As of the
2020 census, Poulsbo had a population of 11,975. The median age was 41.8 years, with 20.2% of residents under the age of 18 and 22.3% of residents aged 65 years or older. For every 100 females there were 86.9 males, and for every 100 females age 18 and over there were 84.8 males age 18 and over. 99.9% of residents lived in urban areas, while 0.1% lived in rural areas. There were 4,891 households in Poulsbo, of which 28.8% had children under the age of 18 living in them. Of all households, 48.9% were married-couple households, 15.8% were households with a male householder and no spouse or partner present, and 29.6% were households with a female householder and no spouse or partner present.
