South West Hampshire is a planned unitary authority area in Hampshire, England. It is scheduled to be created in 2027 as part of ongoing local government reform. It will be formed by a merger of the existing unitary authority of Southampton with the two-tier district of Eastleigh, as well as parts of the New Forest and Test Valley districts including Totton and Hythe. The first councillors will be elected in the 2027 South West Hampshire Council election in May 2027, and the new authority will assume full powers in April 2028.
