2020 census, the parish had a population of 22,750, with 7,851 households and 5,566 families, and the median age was 39.6 years. 23.0% of residents were under the age of 18 and 15.6% were 65 years of age or older. For every 100 females there were 121.2 males, and for every 100 females age 18 and over there were 125.8 males age 18 and over.
