The starch and saccharification enzymes are often derived from malted cereal grains, most commonly malted barley and malted wheat. Most beer is also flavoured with hops, which add bitterness and act as a natural preservative, though other flavourings such as herbs or fruit may occasionally be included. The preparation of beer is called brewing. • Beer and breweries by regionList of beer stylesList of microbreweries By country Beer and breweries by regionBeer classification in Sweden and FinlandList of beer organisationsList of countries by beer consumption per capitaBeer in ArmeniaBeer in Australia :* List of breweries in AustraliaBeer in AustriaBeer in BelgiumBeer in Canada :* List of breweries in CanadaBeer in AzerbaijanBeer in BelarusBeer in Bosnia and HerzegovinaBeer in BrazilBeer in BulgariaBeer in Cape VerdeBeer in ChileBeer in ChinaBeer in ColombiaBeer in CroatiaBeer in DenmarkBeer in EnglandBeer in FinlandBeer in FranceBeer in GermanyBeer in GreeceBeer in Hong KongBeer in HungaryBeer in IcelandBeer in IndiaBeer in IranBeer in IrelandBeer in IsraelBeer in ItalyBeer in JapanBeer in KazakhstanBeer in KenyaBeer in MexicoBeer in MoroccoBeer in New ZealandBeer in North KoreaBeer in NorwayBeer in PolandBeer in PortugalBeer in RomaniaBeer in RussiaBeer in ScotlandBeer in SerbiaBeer in SingaporeBeer in SlovakiaBeer in SloveniaBeer in South AfricaBeer in South KoreaBeer in SwedenBeer in SyriaBeer in TaiwanBeer in ThailandBeer in the CaribbeanBeer in the Czech RepublicBeer in the NetherlandsBeer in the PhilippinesBeer in the United KingdomBeer in TibetBeer in TurkeyBeer in UkraineBeer in UgandaBeer in VietnamBeer in WalesBeer in the United States :* List of breweries in the United States Cider Cidercider is a fermented alcoholic drink made from apple juice. This process purifies it and removes diluting components like water, for the purpose of increasing its proportion of alcohol content (commonly known as alcohol by volume, ABV). As distilled drinks contain more alcohol they are considered "harder" – in North America, the term hard liquor is used to distinguish distilled drinks from undistilled ones, which are implicitly weaker. • List of gin brandsList of liqueursList of national liquorsList of rum brandsList of tequilasList of vodkasList of whisky brands Cocktails Cocktails – a cocktail refers to any kind of alcoholic mixed drink that contains two or more ingredients. Wine Winewine is an alcoholic drink made from fermented grapes or other fruits. The natural chemical balance of grapes lets them ferment without the addition of sugars, acids, enzymes, water, or other nutrients. Yeast consumes the sugars in the grapes and converts them into alcohol and carbon dioxide. Different varieties of grapes and strains of yeasts produce different styles of wine. The well-known variations result from the very complex interactions between the biochemical development of the fruit, reactions involved in fermentation, terroir and subsequent appellation, along with human intervention in the overall process. • Glossary of wine termsList of wine cocktailsList of wine-producing regionsOutline of wineWine tasting descriptors By country List of Appellation d'Origine Contrôlée wines (France) • List of Italian DOC winesList of Italian DOCG winesList of Italian IGT winesList of VDQS wines (France) • List of wine-producing countriesWine in China ==Non-alcoholic drinks==
