Barnett and O'Mara got the first two of their five match points at 9–7. Williams and Murray had five match points of their own, the first at 10–9. • Taylor Townsend and Jamie Murray defeated Nicole Melichar-Martinez and Jan Zielinski 7–6(7–2), 7–6(15–13) in the first round of the 2023 Wimbledon Championships. Townsend and Murray had to save four set points in all from Melichar-Martinez and Zielinski, the first two of which came at 4–6, with the first of their six match points coming at 7–6. Other long tiebreakers • Meghann Shaughnessy and James Blake won a 15–13 tiebreak in a win against Daniela Hantuchová and Dominik Hrbatý in the group stage of the 2005 Hopman Cup.
